‘Warriors of Love’ by the legendary Medicine Head is the debut single release on newly-launched boutique label, Living Room Records.

In keeping with the ethos of the band Phil Collins wanted to play in if he hadn’t been in Genesis – the band whose 1969 scene-burst prompted Lennon, Manfred Mann and Pete Townshend to call John Peel about what he was to define as ‘one of the few truly original British bands that can be counted on the fingers of one hand’ (and duly signed to his nascent Dandelion label), ‘Warriors of Love’ is as snaking, polished and funky an essay in classy blues-rock as anything the band have produced to date.

With further Medicine Head release in the wings accompanying some powerful work from emerging women artists, the new label is the brain child of the band’s founder and front-man John Fiddler.

“I wanted to bring back something of the spirit of the age I started off in,” he summarises.

“It’s a kind of retro-future philosophy”
