MIKE HURST is a music legend who first came to fame alongside Tom and Dusty performing as The SPRINGFIELDS and then became a Record Producer who hit the big time with CAT STEVENS, PP ARNOLD, MANFRED MANN and SHOWWADDYWADDY to name just a few of his artists.

“The First Cut Is The Deepest” he produced for both PP Arnold and Cat Stevens for example. He also produced for Cat “Matthew And Son” and “I’m Gonna Get Me A Gun” whilst also producing the No 1 smash for Manfred Mann “Mighty Quinn” as well as hits for The Move and Samantha Fox.

Since 2022 Mike has suffered with Parkinsons and he decided in 2024 to hold a concert at The Kenton Theatre, Henley on Thames to raise funds for Parkinsons UK. This album includes tracks from his friends who performed at both 2024 and 2025 concerts with a further concert at the same venue planned for 2026.

Some of the standout tracks on the album include Mike D’Abo former lead singer of Manfred Mann performing two songs he wrote “Handbags And Gladrags” and “Build Me Up Buttercup” as well as Bruce Wooley performing “Video Killed The Radio Star” which he co wrote.

PP Arnold said to Mike “You’ve kept me going for the last 60 years. It’s a pleasure to be here to support each other.”
