“This album highlights some great music taken across Fiddler’s career. Recorded with ex Ian Hunter Band guitarist Darrell Bath, the duo produce a great sound. Mixing both electric and acoustic guitars, Fiddler also adds vocals and harmonica”
JOE GEESIN Get ReadyTo Rock
“Recorded before a selected audience in a film studio in west London in the summer of 2003, it attempts to capture Medicine Head at their minimalist, back to basics best”
ADRIAN PERKINS Hunter-Mott
In 2003 lead singer/songwriter JOHN FIDDLER performed as Medicine Head with friend Darrell Bath at a west London film studio a selection of tracks written by him which were released as either as tracks by Medicine Head, British Lions or Box Of Frogs as they are his best-known numbers.
The concert was also filmed and later released as a DVD.
John’s career after Medicine Head folded in the 70s was reinvented with the remains of Mott The Hoople who became British Lions and released two classic albums.
Following the demise of British Lions John joined The Yardbirds who renamed themselves Box Of Frogs, combining the spirit of The Yardbirds and Medicine Head using guitarists such as Jeff Beck and Rory Gallagher with their first album reaching the USA charts.
