“The sheer breadth of the vault clearing by John McCoy highlighting standout curiosities like the early storming version of “Let Me Out”, the haunting early cut “Dark Storm” and understated takes on “Always And Forever” Jo Anne Greene, ALL MUSIC
“One album during the late 80’s lifetime, a second posthumous set coupled with a live show, but this set contains all previously unreleased material. The opener “Another White Mammoth On The M1” was recorded when Bernie Torme had joined, Shame this band weren’t bigger than they were, and I’m not talking size – because that’s not possible.” Joe Geesin, Get Ready To Rock
MAMMOTH were a truly larger-than-life rock outfit led by man-mountain singer Nicky Moore and big, bald, bearded bassist and producer John McCoy, famed for his former years in chart topping band GILLAN.
The band lasted from late 1986 to the end of 1989 yet they only released one album until John delved into his Mammoth tape vaults for ‘Leftovers, Relics & Rarities’.
This album features unreleased tracks featuring guitarist Bernie Torme that highlight what band, music and the then hype were all about.
Mammoth demanded not to be forgotten, despite their premature extinction.
