Recorded at The Polytechnic Students’ Union Hall, Leeds, Yorkshire, England on November 4th 1976, this raucous set by the band that arose from the ashes of Mott The Hoople showcases their sheer potency as a live act with a visceral punch.

In addition to their own material (“Storm” and “Career”), original Hoople trio Dale Griffin, Overend Watts and Morgan Fisher joined by guitarist Ray Major and singer Nigel Benjamin covered The Doors’ “Love Me Two Times” and one of their trademark medleys, this time combining The Doors’ “I Don’t Want To Discuss It” with the old band’s epic “All The Way From Memphis”.

Recorded onto two-track tape from the mixing desk, it’s a refreshingly raw, straight in-yer-face run through: no overdubs.
