“Recorded near the end of their career as a two-piece band. Fiddler’s playing in particular is impressive for coaxing a lot of sound out of several instruments”
Ritchie Unterberger AllMusic
“Make no mistake this is no one dimensional performance, with John playing guitar, drums and handy vocal duties whilst Peter accompanies him with harmonica, jewsharp and claves, at times you have to pinch yourself to remember this is just two guys, not a five-piece band”
Adrian Perkins, Hunter/MOTT
June 1975 and MEDICINE HEAD play the Marquee Club in London for the last time as a two-piece band before they emerge after a number of Hit Singles as a five-piece.
Included in this release are live versions of two of the Hit Singles “(And The) Pictures In The Sky” No 22 1971 and “One And One Is One” No 3 1973.
Also included as a bonus track is the original demo of “(And The) Pictures In The Sky” which KEITH RELF (lead singer The Yardbirds) plays guitar on.
Medicine Head were John Fiddler and Peter Hope Evans and this recording highlights John’s unmistakable, bluesy powerhouse electric guitar, soulful vocals, bass drum and hi hat cymbal and Peter’s awesome harmonics and delicate Jews harp.
