A weekend celebration of Mott the Hoople and its offshoot acts takes place in October in Herefordshire, UK, the county that spawned the original band.
MottFest 2025 features live music, film screenings and spoken word events tracing the band’s origins around founder members Ian Hunter, Pete Overend Watts, Dale ‘Buffin’ Griffin, Mick Ralphs and Verden Allen, soon to be joined by new vocalist Ian Hunter.
Allen is taking part along with keyboard player Morgan Fisher and guitarist Luther ‘Ariel Bender’ Grosvenor.
Additionally appearing at the event at the Corn Exchange, Ross-on-Wye (Friday October 3rd, 18.30–23.00 and Saturday 4th, 13.00–23.00) are John Fiddler from Mott-offshoot British Lions and music journalist and Mott fan club organiser, Kris Needs.
A special memorial event is also planned for the Sunday.
